Early Life and Youth Career

Steve Cooper was born in Neath, Wales on September 11, 1975. He began playing football at a young age and joined the Wrexham FC youth academy in 1991.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing in 2011, Cooper began his coaching career at Wrexham FC. He was appointed manager of the club in 2014 and led them to promotion to the Football League Two in 2016.

In 2017, Cooper joined Swansea City as their manager. He guided the club to the EFL Championship play-off final in 2018, but they were defeated by Fulham FC.

In 2019, Cooper was appointed manager of Nottingham Forest. He led the club to the EFL Championship play-off semi-finals in 2021, but they were defeated by Huddersfield Town.

Current Role

Cooper is currently the manager of Nottingham Forest. He is widely regarded as one of the most promising young managers in the United Kingdom.
